Darwyn Moffatt-Mallett, BASc
Destination Development and Stewardship Specialist, 4TVI
Darwyn is the Destination Development and Destination Stewardship Specialist at 4TVI, where he supports sustainable tourism initiatives that centre community well-being, ecological integrity, and cultural respect across the Vancouver Island region.
Darwyn holds a Bachelors of Arts and Science from Quest University where his studies were guided by the question: “How can we use science and media to better communicate and advocate for social and environmental justice?” Darwyn’s diverse professional background includes roles in habitat restoration, ecotourism, agriculture and honey bee breeding, international guiding, small business ownership, and environmental education.
Darwyn currently lives in Errington, BC, on the traditional territories of the K’ómoks, Kwalikum, and Snaw-naw-as peoples. Through deep listening, community engagement, and continued learning, he is committed to helping shape tourism that honours the land, the people, and the future of Vancouver Island. In his free time Darwyn loves gathering with friends around good food, spending time on the water fishing and surfing, and creating in his home pottery studio.
